FindTheAsk

Email to task, automatically

Turn emails into tasks without retyping them

Converting an email into a task usually means reading it, deciding what is being asked, writing a title, and picking a date. FindTheAsk does those four steps for every incoming message and hands you the result to approve.

It reads for the request, not the keywords

The AI looks for what the sender actually needs from you. A newsletter produces nothing. A long reply-all with one question for you produces one task.

One decision per email

Each suggestion has three answers: accept it as a task, mark it already done, or dismiss it. Several suggestions from one sender can be cleared together, and a noisy sender can be muted.

Forward anything in

Every account has a private forwarding address. Forward a single email to it from any mail program and it becomes a task, even from an inbox you have not connected.

How it works

  1. Connect an inbox or forward an email

Connect Gmail or Outlook with read-only access, or forward individual messages to your FindTheAsk address.

  2. Approve what is real

Suggested tasks wait in a Triage queue with the deadline and priority already proposed.

  3. Finish the work

Tasks move across a board as you work them. Snooze what can wait, and complete the rest on the web or your phone.

Common questions

Can I convert an email to a task without connecting my whole inbox?

Yes. Forward the email to your personal FindTheAsk address and it becomes a suggested task. Connecting an inbox is optional.

What happens to emails that are not tasks?

Nothing. Email that contains no request for you produces no suggestion, and your mailbox is left as it is.

Does the task keep the original email?

By default, yes: an encrypted copy stays attached to the task so anyone you assign it to can read the request. You can turn that off for one task or for all of them.
